Join the Artesia Police Department February 9, 2022 at Jaycee Park from 1 pm to 3 pm for 2 free COVID-19 tests per vehicles for the first 1,000 vehicles. The APD received 6,000 COVID-19 tests from the state of New Mexico’s purchase of 1 million units of the at-home test. 2,000 of those units are destined for the hands of residents of Artesia which the police department is tasked with the distribution of the kits by special appointment of City Council to Jaycee Park. The Artesia Police Department leads this kit distribution for the Eddy County Office of Emergency Management.

APD will be in charge of all traffic control within the park.  Vehicles will be required to enter on the north entrance gates (heading south only), pick up their kits on the southside of the park and exit on the south gates, heading south.

Be sure to check out the map of the test-kit distribution site inside the park to study up about the entrance and exit of vehicles to the location.
