New Mexico Paranormal Investigators (NMPI) is a small group of people with similar interests seeking the unknown.
We have a great team that consists of eleven members and two assistant members who all contribute to making this group a reality: it would not be possible without all of us working together. We are highly supportive of our fans and will take any case, big or small. We never charge for our services upon completion of investigations. We work with our partner group Fox and Wolf Metaphysical Consultations to assist the client in resolving their issues.
Each investigation takes one to two nights depending upon several factors: the size of the property and the severity of the case. Before the actual hunt can take place, there is a lot of preparation and planning to complete. We gather as much information on the property as possible. (In the case of our last hunt, we visited the courthouse, the title company, and even a local historian.) A week or so before the hunt a few team members meet at the property and do a walk-through, noting any hazards for our team. We try to rule out the possibility of electromagnetic fields causing problems. Electromagnetic fields can be caused by an outlet or appliance. Long exposure to EMF can cause several different symptoms like sleep disturbances, depression, dizziness, or headaches. If the disturbance is an unknown noise, we try to rule out pranksters and animals.
During our last hunt, we had several exciting things happen. We had four partial takeovers; four people witnessed a chair levitate a few inches off the floor in broad daylight. Two team members were scratched. Another member had a horrific psychic experience in a small RV on the property, and another was strangled by something unseen. One member even took an attachment home; dried blood turned wet again, and several team members heard their names called when no one actually called them.
After the hunts, there are usually 300 plus hours of video to review, fifteen hours plus of audio, and over 700 pictures. After reviewing and analyzing all of the evidence, it will be presented to the residents and then released to the family. We usually have several things to add to our blooper reels as well.
