Summer Valverde returns to the City of Artesia to serve as the City Clerk and Treasurer. Valverde will take over for retiring clerk and treasurer, Aubrey Hobson. Aubrey Hobson served as the clerk treasurer for many years. His service to the city is appreciated. 

Valverde was sworn into the position at the City Council meeting January 11th by Mr. Hobson. She is the former Finance Supervisor at the City of Artesia and a Former Auditor with the City of Roswell.
