Local Students, Girl Scouts, and Altrusa Club Work Together to Feed Artesia

Altrusa, a local chapter of the national leadership branch for professional women, organized a food drive to kick-off the holiday season. On Saturday, November 13, Artesia Altrusans, students of the month, and the local Girl Scouts teamed up to collect foodstuffs for the annual Feed Artesia event. Proceeds benefited Packs of Love, Artesia Emergency Relief, and the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry.

Working together, the three groups were able to fill three truck loads of food to help those in our community. The groups gathered granola bars, fruit bowls, beef jerkey, boxed stuffing, cake mix, broth, canned chicken, canned fruit, canned tuna, cereal, dry potatoes, mac & cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, rice, and canned soups.
