Ernest Levi London

Ernest Levi London, 88, passed away November 4, 2021.

Ernest was born November 21, 1932 in Loving, NM to Frank and Eunice London. He was the oldest of four children and was raised on a farm outside of Loving. Ernest was in the AirForce in 1949-1951. He married Veta Colter August 28, 1954 in Clovis. Together they had 2 daughters: Raylene and Carolyn. He worked in heating and air conditioning for 37 years and did building maintenance for multiple businesses until retirement. He was very active in Lions Club, holding every position. Ernest and Veta loved to travel, going on numerous cruises. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and carpentry. He loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer and wife of 67 years, Veta.
Survivors include his daughters: Raylene (Warren) Taylor of Carlsbad, TX and Carolyn Schoonover of Olive Branch, MS; six grandkids: Dawn Taylor of Plano, Texas, Donna Cross of Achille, OK, Jeffery (Storm) Schoonover of Germantown, TN, Levi (Sara) Taylor of Seabrook, TX, Matthew (Marty) Schoonover of Lubbock, TX, Tamara (Jason) Hall of San Angelo, TX; 16 great-grandkids; sister, Mary “Susie” Whitlock of Carlsbad, NM.
Visitation will be 12 noon – 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Carlsbad Cemetery.
