Dungeons and Dragons in Artesia

What is Dungeon and Dragons? Local D&D group coordinator, Matt Kaiser, quips, “it’s like Fantasy Football, but fun and actual fantasy.” The role playing game is a time to get together and “go on an adventure with friends.” The current adventure for the group is called Ruins of Avalon. The D&D group meets twice a month at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center to play. Rooted in board game style play with the additional twist of performance, Dungeons and Dragons embarks on imaginary quests led by a Dungeon Master appointed by the group. During a quest, players must collaborate to solve dilemmas, explore new places, and battle opposing forces. The game is highly social and eventful. Players come from all walks of life and are of varying experience. The group welcomes all to come and try out a session.
