Paulette M. Angel

Paulette M. Angel, 69, of West Tansill Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Paulette was born on April 6, 1952, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Robert Cornwall and Frankie Laman.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, October 14, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Marcus Bluth officiating.

Paulette studied graphology for many years, and in turn could tell things about people just by looking at their handwriting. She was also an avid genealogist, who enjoyed discovering things about her family. She was a collector of photos and scrapbooks, highlighting all the amazing memories and adventures she had with her friends and family. Paulette was a faithful follower of Christ and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She caried herself with love and strength, and always found ways of helping others. She was the rock of her family, and cherished every moment shared with them. Paulette will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Paulette was preceded in death by her father, Robert Cornwall; sister, Patricia McCarty; and maternal grandparents, James Williams and Frankie Viola Laman.

Paulette is survived by her devoted husband, James R. Angel of Carlsbad, NM; son, Michael Angel of Carlsbad, New Mexico; daughter, Donna Marie Angel of Carlsbad, NM; son, Justin Robert Angel and Krista Leann Wright of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren: Emrah Nicole Garcia and husband, Philip, Mia Angel, Sienna Angel, and Liam Angel; two great-grandchildren: Autumn Ruex Garcia and Sophia Donna Garcia; mother, Frankie Lara of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Lewis Stephens of Carlsbad, NM; brother, James G. Lara of Carlsbad, NM; uncle, Jess Laman and wife, Della of Carlsbad, NM; aunt, Jane Shott of Carlsbad, NM; aunt, Lula Laman of Carlsbad, NM; and many nieces and nephews.
