College Day and Job Fair at Bulldog Bowl

City of Artesia

Students at Artesia High School participated in an outdoor, COVID safe, college information day and job fair in the parking lot of Bulldog Bowl October 6th; meanwhile, the local kindergartners, first graders, and second graders toured the Bulldog field and athletic facilities.

High school juniors and seniors tossed corn hole bags with Lucid Energy Group and fired padded arrows with United Pool Management and the City of Artesia Recreation Department while visiting about their future plans. PVT and CVE all brought equipment they use onsite to serve the community to demonstrate what they do on the daily. Job fairs and college fairs bring students, colleges, and businesses together. The intention of job and college fairs is to inspire students to research the colleges and businesses further and to network with the folks onsite to help them discover their next steps to post secondary education or employment.

As for the kindergarten kids, first and second graders, it is the work of the current Bulldogs and Lady Dogs to inspire those young students to stay in school, so that they will become the next generation of proud athletes.
