Art in the Park celebrates its 46th anniversary this year as a beloved community institution. Established in 1975, the event hosts a large number and variety of local artisans and their homemade wares. Art in the Park usually resides at Central Park at the crossroads of Richardson Street and 7th Street, but this year the location of the event will shift to the much larger Jaycee Park just off of 26th street. The new location will offer better parking, more bathrooms, two different play structures, and more booth space!

Art in the Park is an all weekend event! Come early, stay late! Bring your lawn chairs and catch up with community members you haven’t seen in a while and welcome folks from around the region. Vendors are coming into Artesia from as far away as Dallas, TX. There are loads of booths to see chock full of arts and crafts to purchase, activities to do, and food to eat! Keep your hard-earned dollars local by shopping for one-of-a-kind handmade items for the upcoming holiday season.

There will be some local theater acts and music Friday, October 15th beginning at 4pm. Saturday morning, October 16th, the event begins in earnest at 9am. The Bulldog Band will be in attendance for entertainment as well as other kid-oriented organizations. Artesia Arts Council featured artists, Justin “Yote” Levario with his Subliminal SKulls and Mike Campos will also be in attendance. Come out to this year’s Art in the Park!
