Veronica Vallejo Depue, 41, of Hidalgo Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 20, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be 5 PM – 8 PM, Friday, September 24, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Calvary Assembly of God with Pastor Phillip Price officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Veronica was born June 27, 1980 in Carlsbad, NM to Jessie and Carol (Sanchez) Vallejo. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1998. Veronica married Billy R. Depue September 5, 1997. She began her family early and her children and family were absolutely the love of her life. Veronica cherished the years of her kids playing sports and never stopped striving to let them know how amazing they were. She was active in fundraising for Alzheimer’s Association and always participated in the annual walk. She was always willing to help anyone in need and had a smile for everyone she met. Veronica was preceded in death by her father, Jessie O. Vallejo and brother, Randall Vallejo.
Survivors are her husband, Billy Depue; son, David Depue; daughter, Yulissa Depue; grandson, Nehemiah Brown; mother, Carol Vallejo; brothers: Richard Vallejo, Pablo Vallejo, Jessie Vallejo, Jr.; mother-in-law, Helen Ybaben and husband, John; sister-in-law, Angie Ramirez and husband, Raymond and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richard Vallejo, Robert Vallejo, Rico Vallejo, Raymond Ramirez, Andrew Ramirez, and Malik Brown.
