The national veterans organization, Team Rubicon, “delivered aid and deployed hope” at the Dona Ana Range outside of Las Cruces last week. Team Rubicon is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that specializes in disaster response. Team Rubicon organized volunteers across New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona to receive, sort, and assemble emergency kits for refugees arriving from the crisis in Afghanistan.

The emergency kits provide necessities for men, women, children, and families who fled the middle east with only the clothes on their back. Team Rubicon accepts donations of new clothing, child-specific items like diapers, food, water, and hygiene products to help alleviate the suffering that these individuals have endured. Learn more about the types of donations that they accept and about the Team’s efforts in New Mexico at their website:  https://teamrubiconusa.org/resettlement or get in touch with the local Eastern New Mexico Administrator for Team Rubicon at (575) 746-3535.
