As announced in this week’s Eddy County Commission meeting, the recent approval by the New Mexico Department of Transportation of $5.7 million in funding for the Southeast Loop project will make a major improvement in the lives of Carlsbad resident. Completion of this loop project, as well as the loop project in southwest Carlsbad, will provide a full bypass around town- diverting large trucks away from the crowded downtown area. This is a great victory for our residents, and we appreciate the NMDOT’s approval.
