Obituary

Services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday, August 31, at Faith Baptist Church for Dominic Anthony Marquez of Artesia, New Mexico. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 1-6 pm on Monday, August 30.

Dominic, 34, died on August 24, 2021 at Artesia General Hospital.

Robby Ballew will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Erick Roberts, Julian Marquez, Anthony Urban, Mondo Reyes, Manuel Anaya, Colby Hamilton, David Adams, and Abduhl Mckellum.

Dominic was born on November 15, 1986 in Artesia; the son of Nat Huerta and Irma Marquez. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

He was married to Elva on October 1, 2019.

He is survived by his wife Elva Marquez; his father Nat Huerta and wife Tina; his mother Irma Marquez; children Jade Marquez, Abigail Marquez, Yuna Marquez, LeeLu Gonzalez and Ivan Gonzalez; brothers Julian Marquez and Erick Roberts; and sisters Jazell Marquez and Shanisse Huerta.
