Troop 228 of Artesia, NM will reitre 189 U.S. Flags this month. Individuals and businesses alike donated the well-loved flags directly to the troop. Flags also arrived via the flag retirement drop-off box that members of the troop built and regularly check for flags left to receive a ceremonious end to their service. Troop 228 scouts who will retire the flags are: Ethan Burton, Jake Burton, Jonathon Clem, Hunter Kern, Charles Moreau, Caleb Johnson, Evan Johnson, Logan Hammer, Logan Slaughter, Logan Scwabb, Nick Estes, Jeramiah Mathis, Kellen Worley, Hagan Crockett, Draven Fletcher, and Keegan Savage.
