Services are scheduled for 10 am Monday, August 9, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Mary Lou Carbajal of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Carbajal, 68, died on August 4, 2021 in Artesia.

Pastor Michael Elliott will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Carbajal Jr., Jorge Carbajal, Manuel Carbajal, Miguel Madrid, Johnny Ramirez, and Arnold Fuentes. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2pm to 6 pm on Sunday.

Mary was born December 1, 1952 in Artesia; the daughter of Willie Morrizon and Rosa Salas Morrizon. She was married to Jose Carbajal on November 25, 1973.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of kids a the church. She enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Neil Morrizon.

Survivors include her husband Jose Carbajal; sons Jose Ramon Carbajal Jr., Jorge Carbajal, and Manuel Carbajal; a brother Willie Morrison; sisters Julie Juarez and Edena Perez; grandchildren Elijah Carbajal, Isaac Carbajal, Angelina Marie Carbajal, Avianna Rose Carbajal, Alianna Carbajal, Natalia Carbajal and Tiago Carbajal.
