Trevor Rogers made local history by pitching in the All Star game this week. He threw in the fifth inning of the 2021 MLB All-Star Game at Coors Field on Tuesday. He allowed two unearned runs while recording a strikeout during the inning. He threw 18 pitches – and 15 of them were strikes. All six batters he faced were from the AL East, and his fastest pitch recorded at 98.8 miles per hour, according to the Miami Herald. It was certainly exciting seeing a player from Carlsbad take the mound at the All Star Game, which the American League won, 5-2. We now look forward to a great second half of Trevor’s season.
