Obituary for Dulces Kandy Molina

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, May 17, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Dulces Nombres “Kandy” Molina of Artesia, New Mexico.

Ms. Molina, 67, died May 9, 2021 at her home in Artesia.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Aaron Molina, Jayden Molina, Jordan Molina, Davian Molina, Javon Molina, Jace Molina, Diego Molina, and Jaygen Molina. Honorary pallbearers will be brothers-in-law Ramiro Flores, Alfredo Gabaldon, and Martin Molina, nephew Daniel Velo, granddaughters Julianne Molina, Jasmin Molina, Kurizma Molina, Jaylyn Molina, Janae Molina, Jazlyn Molina, and Jurzee Molina.

Kandy was born December 24, 1953 in Balmorhea TX to Pablo Olivas and Refujia Muniz.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She loved to travel and being outdoors. She was a cheerleader for her grandchildren encouraging them in whatever they were participating in. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, and supported all of the Bulldog sports. She enjoyed cooking and never met a stranger. She was known as “The Boss” and her smile and “pearly whites” will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Olga Olivas, and Lupe Salazar, brother Pablo Olivas, niece Abigail Calderon, parents-in-law Abelino and Susan Molina, and by sister-in-law Terry Molina.

Survivors include her sons Gregg Molina and wife Ashlee, Gabriel Molina and wife Kayla, and Richard Ray Molina and partner Corina; daughters Ashley Segura and husband Porfie and Crystal Flores and husband Joel; brothers Joe Olivas, Jesse Olivas, Frank Muniz, Pete Muniz, Manuel Olivas and Luis Olivas; sisters Mary Gabaldon, Janie Olivas, and Sylvia Flores; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way.
