Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, April 9, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Maria Del Pilar De Soto of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. De Soto, 78, died March 31, 2021 at her home in Artesia.

Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 pm to 4 pm on Thursday.

Maria was born January 22, 1943 in Guanajuato, Chihuahua, Mexico to Aristeo Ornelas and Amalia Cordova Ornelas. She was a housewife and a longtime resident of Artesia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sons Aristeo Soto and Fernando Soto.

Survivors include her husband Toribio Soto; sons Pablo Soto, Toribio Soto, and Manuel Soto; daughters Graciela Soto and Lorena Soto; brothers Ramon Ornelas and Pablo Ornelas; sisters Esther Collazo, Bertha Flores, and Tafita Ornelas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
