FocusDaily Obituary Slide 1

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, at West Main Baptist Church for Mrs. Phyliss “Oma” Reese of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Reese, 66, died March 24, 2021.

Pastor Jason Kraft will officiate at the services. Terpening & Sons met her final wishes.

Phyliss, was born August 15, 1954 in Maryland, the daughter of Phillip and Bernice Neudecker. In the late 70’s is when she joined the bulldog ranks, bringing 2 wonderful children; son Jason and daughter Tiffany into the mix. Years later her family grew, adding two other children Joe and Anna.  Her love grew stronger as she started welcoming Oma’s Angels (9 to be exact). Devin, Ty, Colbin, Bradyn, Johnathan, Joslynn, Kylie, London, and Matthew.

As we all know her “last child” Pecos Diamond was her life mission for the last 30 years. Her endless hours and open ears made her customer’s feel loved and always left with a smile.

When you think of Phyliss you think about a fast talking, order taking, soda slinging and “the attitude” serving go-to girl. She not only served the community she loved them dearly. She made lots of relationships and touched so many lives from young to old. Not only was her love endless for her own but every child in Artesia from choir kids, employee kids and her customer kids as well. Her heart and her office door was always open…..We would all be in trouble if the office walls could talk. She built a reputation that everyone loved. Always remember her infectious smile as you walk through those doors. She Loved each and everyone of us.

Phyliss’ favorite color was purple, so at the families request and in memory of her, please wear purple in attendance to her service.
