Funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Mr. Humberto Gurrola, Jr. of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Gurrola, 58, died Saturday January 30, 2021 at Presbyterian Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M.

Fr. V.J. will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.  A rosary will be recited Monday at church at 9:30 a.m.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Sunday, February 7, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Pallbearers will be Dale Gurrola, Hector Gurrola, Felix Fierro, Santiago Calderon, Salvador Gurrola, and Emilio Delgado.  Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews and also his Navajo Refinery family.

Humberto was born April 3, 1962 in Artesia, the son of Humberto and Ampara (Marquez) Gurrola.

On June 30, 1986 he was married to Juanita Grado in Carlsbad, N.M.

Humberto was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.  He was a North Unit Division Manager in Operations at Navajo Refinery.  He loved everything about outdoor sports, camping, fishing and hunting.  He enjoyed spending time with is family at the the lake and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include  his wife Juanita, ; a daughter Samantha Gurrola; brothers Roy Gurrola and wife Odelia, Hector Gurrola and wife Lucy, and Dale Gurrola and wife Corina; sisters Delia Gonzales and husband Victor, Lucy Gurrola, and Becky Gurrola; also by numerous nieces and nephews.
