The New Mexico Department of Health has also announced the start of a website allowing residents to receive notice when they qualify for a COVID-19 vaccine. The website can be reached at cvvaccine.nmhealth.org. New Mexico is currently offering vaccine doses to health care workers and staff as well as residents of long-term care facilities. The website registration will allow interested individuals the opportunity to receive notification as large-scale quantities of vaccinations become available.

As of today, there are 758 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. This number may include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 out of state but are currently hospitalized in New Mexico. This number does not include New Mexicans who tested positive for COVID-19 and may have been transferred to a hospital out of state.

As of today, there are 60,528 COVID-19 cases designated as having recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.

New Mexico state health officials on Sunday announced 747 additional COVID-19 cases. Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

  • 44 new cases in Eddy County
  • 30 new cases in Chaves County

Eddy County has now had a total of 4,372 positive COVID cases, though we are hopeful that we will see significant improvement as we move into 2021.
