Larry was born June 30, 1939, in Hagerman, the son of Virgil and Edna (Worley) Troublefield.

On Dec. 2, 1962, he married Betty Joan Harrison in Las Vegas, Nev.

Following her death, he met Sammie Gayle West, and the two were married Aug. 21, 2010, in Deming.

He served in the U.S. Army and Navy.

Larry was a talented musician with a beautiful voice. He brought joy and fun to so many lives with his music. Many, many people danced through the years to him singing and playing his guitar. He was always more than happy to get his guitar out to sing and play for family and friends.

Larry was a jack of all trades and could fix most anything. He was an independent truck driver and hauled alfalfa hay. He was especially proud of the time he served with the Hope Police Department.

He loved his family, almost to a fault. He made everyone believe they were his “fav-o-rite” niece or nephew, and he meant it: every one of them was his favorite.

Survivors include his wife, Sammie, of the home; son Larry Troublefield Jr. of Carlsbad; daughter Edna Washburn and Johnny of Lakewood; stepsons Aaron Brown of Artesia and Blane Brown and Ronda of Shallowater, Texas; grandsons David Hendrix and Ashley, Justin Adkins and Sydney, Larry “Trey” Troublefield and Danielle, Brayden Brown, Cason Brown, Jaxx Brown and Trevin Graves; granddaughters Nikki Holland and Joshua, and Katelyn Troublefield; great-grandchildren Xavier, Leslie and David Hendrix, Jaedyn, Hayden and Rhett Adkins, Jack Holland, and Adalyn, Raelynn and Hallie Troublefield; sister Peggy Wilson; brothers Lynn Troublefield and Jana, and Ronnie Troublefield and Faye; sister-in-law Sandra Troublefield; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends he considered family.

He was preceded in death by wife Betty Joan Troublefield; grandson Caedyn James Morgan; his parents; and brothers Donald Troublefield, Billy Troublefield and Glen Troublefield.
