After reaching the highest 7 day average of active coronavirus cases, we have learned that NM’s governor will be announcing new restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19. Starting Friday, Oct. 16, the following restrictions will be in place: Any food or drink establishment in New Mexico serving alcohol must close at 10:00 p.m. each night. Maximum occupancy restrictions will be reduced to 60 percent for places of lodging. Mass gatherings of more than 5 individuals are once again prohibited. The governor will provide further direction at her Thursday COVID-19 briefing.
