NMSU Carlsbad named best nursing school program in New Mexico

Our local college recently picked up a major recognition. According to RegisteredNursing.org, New Mexico State University-Carlsbad’s RN program was selected as the number one ranked nursing program in New Mexico. Nursing programs were assessed on several factors such as how well the program supports students toward licensure and even once they graduate.

Having a great nursing program is, of course, wonderful for a community. Our hospital and local nursing homes know they can acquire top-notch employees every year. Having a great nursing program is also vital for our status as an “Age Friendly” community.

From RegisteredNursing.org:

The Carlsbad campus of New Mexico State University fosters undergrad nursing students through its exceptional ADN program. With no waitlist, and a suggested plan of study that takes just 2 years to complete, students have a quick and efficient route to a nursing career. The curriculum includes courses in Medication and Dosage Calculation, Health Deviations, and more.
