Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Epimenio H. Garcia of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Garcia, 92, died August 2, 2020 at his home in Artesia.

Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with burial to follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Samuel Lewis, Samson Lewis, Eric Lewis, Jesus Garcia, Lucas Garcia, Xavier Garcia, and Rory Watts

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5th.

Epimenio was born March 20, 1928 in Presidio TX, the son of Juan Garcia and Antonia (Hernandez) Garcia.

Epimenio Garcia was resident of Artesia, he was a humble, caring, giving man who loved his family and freinds and would help others if they needed help. He enjoy dancing, going to church, reading his Bible, watching Western Movies, listening to Revivals, his oldies, and enjoy being around his many cats. He enjoy being outdoors doing something around the house. He still was driving to the Park until he became ill. He will always be remember as Mr. Garcia who wasn’t afraid to meet new people around town, and he was always looking from the front porch of his house to see who would come visit. He was married 52 years to his wife Jesusita Martinez Garcia.

He is Survived by his wife of the home Jesusita M. Garica of Artesia, NM; his Son-in-Law & Daughter Samuel & Lisa Lewis of Artesia, NM ;his Son & Daughter-in-Law Jesus & Erica Garcia of Artesia, NM; his Daughter Eufemia Garcia of Artesia, NM; his Daughter Stella Garcia Pena of Odessa, TX, his Son-in-law & Daughter Javier & Mary Chavez of Lynden, WA, his Son Mario Garica of Sacarmento, CA, Sister Eduarda G. Florez of Artesia, NM. He has numerous Grand Children, Great Grand Children, and Great, Great, Grand Children, and Nieces & Nephews.

He is Preceeded in death by his Parents, Juan & Antonia H. Garcia, his brothers Genaro H. Garica, Lencho H. Garcia, and Dinincio H. Garcia, his sister Seferina G. Lopez, his Sons Johnny Garcia, Reno Garcia, and his late wife Felicitas G. Garcia.
