Jesus Lopez Jr. was able to celebrate his birthday after a 21 day battle against COVID-19 in the intensive care unit at Carlsbad Medical Center. The hospital released the following statement:

“What a wonderful day at CMC! Today we were able to celebrate the birthday of a patient, Mr. Jesus Lopez, Jr. This was a very special birthday, because after 21 days in ICU, Mr. Lopez is COVID free, was able to see his family and is now able to go to a regular patient room. Happy Birthday to Mr. Lopez and thank you to our staff for taking wonderful care of him and making him feel extra special today!”
