In an order issued Monday, April 6th the NMDOH further restricts essential business operations. It requires that all essential retail limit occupancy inside their stores to further enhance physical distancing measures.
- The maximum number of customers that can be inside the store must be 20 percent or less of the max occupancy as determined by the fire department or marshal.
- Customers waiting in line outside stores are advised to do so at least six feet apart from each other.
- Car dealerships, payday lenders and liquor stores have also now been deemed non-essential and must cease in-person business.
- Hotels, motels and RV parks must reduce their capacity from 50 to 25 percent of maximum capacity.
